At approximately 10.00am this morning, an acetylene cylinder and an oxygen cylinder fell off the back of a utility vehicle onto the Tullamarine Freeway in Melbourne, Victoria.  

Emergency Services contacted BOC for specialist support on the safe handling of acetylene and oxygen cylinders. BOC dispatched a specialist team to the scene and worked with emergency services to assess and safely remove the cylinders.  

BOC advises this is a timely reminder for all drivers transporting gas cylinders to ensure they are restrained properly at all times.
