Hospital Equipment

Information for healthcare professionals.

Linde Healthcare’s innovative approach to technological development has revolutionized the provision of gas therapy.

Linde Healthcare Hospital Equipment

Linde Healthcare supplies a range of carefully selected equipment to ensure quality and safety for you and your patients. Design, production, delivery, installation and training are an integral part of our cylinders, compressors, flow meters, demand valves, masks, filters and other essential equipment for the provision of medical gases.

Emergency care

Medical gases are needed for treating patients in emergency situations and gaining time for life saving procedures. Twenty-four hour emergency medical services treat a wide range of serious, acute illnesses and injuries. Many are immediately life threatening or are severely painful, demanding a rapid and effective response from healthcare professionals.
Linde Healthcare medical gases and technologies are an essential part of successful emergency care:

  • CONOXIA®, medicinal oxygen, for life support.
  • LIVOPAN®, medicinal nitrous oxide/oxygen mixture, that provide rapid analgesia/sedation and relief of acute pain.
  • LIV® - Linde Integrated Valve for ready-to-use mobile gas therapy, enabling a rapid, life-saving response.
  • A range of supplies and accessories for the safe and effective delivery of medical gases.

Hospital Equipment

With the simple set up LIV, you can start therapy right away, safely and smoothly. Linde Integrated Valve is a lightweight, ready-to-use mobile gas solution with a mounted integrated valve pressure regulator. It is designed to help healthcare staff work more effectively. There’s no change of regulators, no set up or handling of high filling pressure, and as such, no interruption to patient care. Pressure is precisely released and controlled. And with more flow settings, you can set the treatment exactly to meet patient needs.

  • ● With the integrated regulator, you get low constant outlet pressure and flow selections precisely to your requirements
  • ● A large flow range means a more exact flow can be prescribed to suit the patient need.
  • ● With the active pressure gauge and clear displays, you always know precisely what’s in the cylinder.

With LIV®, treatment is always ready.

VENTYO is manufactured to Linde Healthcare’s high standards for dependability, quality and safety.
VENTYO® makes it easier to provide expectant mothers with effective pain relief during childbirth. The simple-to-use, compact, and all-in-one device offers straightforward mixing and delivery of pharmaceutical nitrous oxide and pharmaceutical oxygen for analgesic purposes.
Features include direct setting of the nitrous oxide/oxygen concentration ratio, integrated demand valve system, built-in scavenging and scavenger flow indicator, automatic safety shut-off mechanism, and nitrous oxide and oxygen supply indicators. An important safety point, there is always a minimum of 30% oxygen.

Effective catalytic destruction facility which converts nitrous oxide to oxygen and nitrogen, is fully mobile and does not need to be connected to ventilation or gas extraction.
EXCIDIO® has been specifically developed to provide additional flexibility where nitrous oxide/oxygen mixtures for sedation/analgesia are administered. Safe and robust, it scavenges N2O/O2 mixture exhaled by the patient and converts it into nitrogen and oxygen, eliminating concerns about occupational exposure:

  • ● Small and mobile just-in-time conversion of N2O into nitrogen and oxygen.
  • ● Operates independently from vacuum or waste gas disposal systems.
  • ● Highly efficient conversion rates (>99%) with no toxic output (NOx, O3).
  • ● Quiet, cool and safe solid-state operation.
  • ● For use within any hospital treatment room, or at other care facilities or office-based areas.

While treatment with nitrous oxice/oxygen mixture is known as a non-invasive and innocuous alternative for effective sedation/analgesia, we are committed to ensuring that exposure limits can be adhered to while patients can benefit from the treatment they need.

Central Gas System

Many hospitals have a central gas system to ensure safe and economic gas supply. The gas is conveyed from a tank, bundle of cylinders or gas cylinders via a pipe system to different gas outlets in the hospital.
The central gas system may consist of:

  • Medical oxygen in liquid form in containers and in compressed form in gas cylinders/bundles of cylinders in a reserve stock.
  • Nitrous oxide in gas cylinders.
  • Medical breathing air from the hospital's own compressors or via gas cylinders/bundles of cylinders.
  • Medical device gases at the user concerned, e.g. laboratories.

Central gas equipment

Central gas equipment is an important part of the whole supply system for medical gases. Central gas equipment from Linde Healthcare is an important part of the whole supply system for medical gases. It ensures that the medicinal product medical gas reaches the patient safely, without interruption and in accordance with applicable requirements and rules regarding quality.

MQ Station is a gas manifold that ensures that the supply of medical gases takes place without interruption. In the event of an interruption or a gas source becoming empty, the MQ Station automatically switches over to a functioning/full gas source.

The SQ Unit is a stabilizer that minimizes any pressure variations in the gas pipe network before the point of consumption in various buildings and departments at the hospital.

The CCB Unit is a pressure monitor installed in the ward for continuous monitoring and easy-access quick shut off of the medical gases. The CCB Unit warns of pressure that is too high and too low with a visual and acoustic alarm, and reserve gas can be connected in the event of interruptions.

The CCB Monitor is a pressure monitor installed on the ward for continuous monitoring and easy-access quick shut off of the medical gases. It also has a built-in function that controls the operating pressure of oxygen so that it is always higher than the operating pressure for nitrous oxide.

The AVS Unit is an emergency shut-off valve box that is installed on the ward for easy-access quick shut-off of the medical gases in a limited part of the central gas supply system, for example in an emergency situation or during maintenance.

Liquid Oxygen Containers

Great benefits in storing oxygen in liquid form.
There are great benefits in storing oxygen in liquid form. Linde Healthcare can in this way supply larger quantities to large consumers. Oxygen is transported by tanks to the hospital's storage tank. The hospital's gasification unit converts the liquid oxygen to gas so that it can be distributed flexibly via the hospital's central gas system.

Equipment for Cryogenic Storage

Our solutions makes it possible to use the cryo technique for many different applications.
Biological material such as plasma, human cells and tissue needs to be stored at very low temperatures. We have solutions for different needs in this area. We deliver equipment, manage installations and provide services in this area. We focus on safe and operation adapted solutions.
