BOC to build carbon dioxide facility in Victoria

Sydney, Australia. 9 January 2023: Leading gas and engineering company BOC, a Linde company, today announced Binod Patwari has been appointed Managing Director of BOC South Pacific.

Binod joins BOC after leading Linde’s ASEAN business in Singapore for four years where he was responsible for overseeing a USD $1billion business across six countries. His career with Linde spans more than 25 years working in senior business and finance leadership roles across Asia, United Kingdom and Australia.

In his new role, Binod will be focused on customer experience and driving growth and sustainability across the business.

“BOC is committed to leveraging Linde’s extensive global experience to progress the development of green hydrogen as a zero emissions fuel, with several projects already underway across the region that will pave the way for decarbonisation of transport and industry,” said Binod.

“I look forward to working with customers, industry and government to build on BOC’s leadership in the clean energy sector, as well as deliver initiatives for our business and customers that reinforce our sustainability targets. Paramount to this will be maintaining a strong safety culture.”

Binod will oversee BOC and Elgas, the largest supplier of LPG in Australia and New Zealand.

Binod holds a Master’s Degree in Finance. He commenced the role on 1 January 2023 and will be based at BOC’s regional headquarters in Sydney.
