We are happy to announce that Linde Gas AS, Norway, has been awarded the prestigious 2019 EIGA “Road safety award” for lowest “Accident rate”. The award was given for lowest preventable road vehicle accident frequency for cylinder vehicles transport among the European gas companies (< 2 000 000 km).
The EIGA Awards, by the European Industrial Gases Association, EIGA, is one of the most important awards in our industry. The Road safety award aims to further increase the attention to traffic safety.
“Road safety is crucial to us and we are very proud to receive this award. Not least as the road conditions in Norway can sometimes be very challenging, with long distances, narrow roads and sometimes rough conditions”, says Geir Morten Hoven, Head of Cylinder Operations Norway.
“At Linde, Safety is a core value and integral in all that we do. It is the first award for REN since 2014. A great achievement by the team and encouragement for everyone to continue on our journey to further improve the safety in REN!”, says Jan Ellringmann, Business President, Linde REN.
The European Industrial Gases Association, EIGA, is a safety and technically oriented organisation representing the vast majority of European and a number of non-European companies producing and distributing industrial, medical and food gases. The member companies closely co-operate in safety and technical matters concerning production, transport, storage and application to achieve the highest level of safety and environmental care in the handling of gases.
The 2019 EIGA Awards from the European Industrial Gases Association resulted in 4 awards being given to Linde PLC, whereof Linde Gas AS won the Road Safety Award.
