- ● Gas oxygen in cylinders
- ● Oxygen concentrators
Linde Healthcare can offer the following products for home oxygen therapy patients:
- ● THEROX liquid oxygen system, which allows the customer to move outside the home
- ● Medicinal oxygen gas cylinder, which can be used for mobility and as a backup system for other devices.
- ● We also offer our customers the support and guidance they need.
Medicinal Oxygen
Oxygen is a vital gas that is of great significance in healthcare worldwide, from routine use and home care to more acute applications.
Research has shown that regular oxygen therapy can extend the life of patients with COPD by several years. This is mainly due to the fact that the treatment allows for an active lifestyle.
We ensure the production, delivery, and sales of oxygen in every stage. If necessary, we can trace the gas, cylinders/tanks, and valves. Medicinal oxygen is covered by the Kela reimbursement.
CONOXIA® medicinal oxygen is a medicinal product that must be used according to a doctor's instruction. CONOXIA medicinal oxygen is available in liquid and gaseous form. Gaseous oxygen is colorless, odorless, and tasteless.
How to order oxygen and equipment?
- The doctor writes a written prescription for gaseous and/or liquid medicinal oxygen on an SV1 prescription form. In addition, the treating unit fills out an order form for medicinal oxygen.

Home Oxygen Therapy Equipment
The THEROX® liquid oxygen system includes a home storage tank that Linde Healthcare delivers to the patient's home. It is regularly exchanged for a tank that has been refilled. The tank contains 30-36 liters of liquid oxygen. Small portable tanks are used to supplement the home storage tank. These tanks can be carried on the shoulder/hip or in a specially designed backpack, and provide significant freedom of movement for the patient.
LIV® (Linde Integrated Valve) is an easy-to-use oxygen therapy solution. There is no need to connect flow regulators anymore. LIV® gas cylinders have an integrated valve, pressure regulator, and flow regulator, making the cylinder easy to use and quickly ready for use.
The gas-saving demand mask is designed for patients suffering from cluster headaches (Horton's headache). The demand mask ensures that the patient inhales 100% medicinal gas but stops the oxygen flow during the exhalation phase. The mask also minimizes the accumulation of oxygen in clothing or furniture, improving safety.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Medicinal oxygen can be used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
COPD is a combination of bronchitis and emphysema. The disease develops gradually and causes irreversible deterioration of lung function. Quitting smoking can often prevent the continuous development of symptoms.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in the world after cardiovascular disease, cancer, and stroke. However, it is unfortunately an underdiagnosed and undertreated disease.
Typical symptoms include coughing, shortness of breath, and mucus production. Common risk factors include long-term smoking, industrial pollutants, allergies, and repeated lung infections.
Smoking is strongly associated with COPD (about 90% of those with the disease). Smoking must be stopped for oxygen therapy to be effective. This is also important for safety reasons, as smoking and oxygen use increase the risk of fire.
Cluster Headaches
Cluster headaches can be treated with medicinal oxygen.
Cluster headaches, also known as Horton's headaches, are a rare condition that occurs more often in men than women. It causes an extremely severe headache that usually occurs around one eye.
Headache is cyclical, and attacks recur during a series over several weeks or months.
The pain begins quickly and can last from 15 minutes to several hours. There are usually 1-2 attacks per day, but they can recur up to eight times per day.
During an attack, the eye may become red and watery, the pupil may become smaller, and the eyelid may droop. There may also be nasal congestion or discharge.
Small amounts of alcohol may trigger a headache during a cluster headache series. Vasodilators, such as nitroglycerin, can also trigger the disease.
